Harvest Festival Del Mar 2012

This was our second year participating in the fun filled Harvest Festival in Del Mar California.  Since it was an indoor event, we couldn’t take Jack along with us.  There are also a set of rules that need to be followed in an indoor show that aren’t necessary for outdoors.  A plus is that you do not have worry about the elements and can create your space to appear like a small boutique.  Below is a shot of our entry where we placed a small table for our tea towels and to showcase my dad’s light fixture.

Below is a shot of the booth in its entirety.  Since our dog silhouette / screen print pillows are so popular, we decided to place them in the back and have two shelving units to display our other pillows on either side of the booth.  We had our tea towels at the left facing and our girl’s clothing on the right facing with our framed prints all around.  This layout seems to open up the space while utilizing critical space for our product.

Here’s a shot of the right facing corner.  Another fun display option was having medium to large baskets on the floor to have a cluster of pillows.

Here is a shot of the left facing corner.  The attractive blue ice chest (ha) served as our food source, as well as, my seat and a space for patrons to discuss items and purchase.

We’re getting ready for the holiday season and have introduced a few new holiday screen prints.  Below is a fabulous new screen print of a reindeer.  We paired this print with our red and ivory ticking stripe to give the holiday feel.  We have also used this print on our tea towel.  Perfect as a gift for the person throwing their holiday party.  You can find this and our other holiday inspired items at https://www.etsy.com/listing/113938741/decorative-throw-pillow-cushion-cover

A few weeks ago, we had an order online for our Audrey Hepburn and they requested that the hand cut felt trim be in black instead of our deep red or grey options.  This is one of the reasons why I love custom orders is that someone may have an idea of something fabulous that never occurred to you.  We loved how the black looked on this pillow and decided to make one in our line.  You can find this pillow and our other Audrey Hepburn items at https://www.etsy.com/listing/113688774/decorative-throw-pillow-cushion-cover

We have been busy bees at the studio making items in time for the holidays.  We plan on participating in the Pomona Harvest Festival November 30th-December 2nd.  This is a new event even though we have participated in Del Mar’s Harvest Festival.  We are really excited about this show and expect a huge turn out since it is fairly close to Christmas.  You can find out more information at http://www.harvestfestival.com/Visitors/shows/pomona/index.aspx  We also have four VIP passes available for anyone who may be interested in attending.  We would hate for these tickets to go to waste so let me know and I’ll be happy to mail them to you. We’ll be in booth B75.

We still participate in the Village Fest in Downtown Palm Springs every Thursday.  Now that it is the season the hours are from 6:00 PM – 10:00PM.

Also, we are available online everyday at http://www.ecarlateboutique.etsy.com or email with any questions at ecarlateboutique@yahoo.com.

Take Care,

Aja
