Yankee Doodle Dandy

Another year has gone by and we are getting ready for the 4th of July.  For the desert that means heat waves and afternoons locked indoors unfortunately.  For me personally, this has become the norm but that doesn’t spoil my ability to enjoy the scheme the patriotic holiday has to offer.

We have been working on some “fabric pumpkins”. They are shaped like a fairy tale pumpkin squash.  We have been making lots for the Harvest Festival (never too soon) but thought that they would be good for any holiday (or non holiday) so we made some patriotic versions in red white and blue.  The above is in a blue ticking stripe with red accents.  We photographed it with a small red colander.  They are fun for a dinner party, bbq or to place on a table.  You can find them at https://www.etsy.com/listing/155214350/fourth-of-july-decor-fabric-pumpkin?ref=shop_home_active

americana

These are a few of our Americana pillows out of vintage potato sacks.  Always a favorite, they are unique mixed with ticking stripes.

Also, happy birthday cousin danny
